val Grana, 7 March 2026 (l’ultima ciaspolata)
With spring coming on fast in Mondovì, we went in search of some snow for one last ciaspolata (a walk using showshoes). In val Grana, a river valley north and west of home, we found snow (and quite a few skiers and fellow-snowshoe enthusiasts) on the hills above the Santuario di San Magno. After our walk we had lunch outdoors at the nearby Rifugio Maraman https://maraman.it/ .
