Travels in Africa
In March 2013 I flew solo from Torino to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. My husband had been working there and in Tanzania since January; his work was wrapping up and we planned three weeks of sight-seeing and relaxation. From Addis to Lalibela in Ethiopia, then on to Dar es Salaam, Zanzibar, Moshi, and Arusha, in Tanzania, we flew in tiny airplanes that slipped and sailed among the clouds. It was a lightning-round initiation, my first glimpse into two very different African culture
